Today is the Wed 22nd of March 2023 is the 29th of Sha’ban, 1444 Al-Hijra. As per the sunnah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, IAWSS has conducted moonsighting activities across Australia and liaised with neighbouring countries within the three-hour time zone.

Based on reliable information and verifications, IAWSS confirms that the crescent has been sighted in Malaysia  (within the neighbouring countries’ three-hour time zone).

 The 1st  day of the Holy Month of Ramadan will be Thursday, the 23rd of March 2023

Isha and Tarawih at Rootyhill Masjid are at 8:30 PM, please arrive early at the masjid to avoid parking difficulties.

Necessary Instruction to be followed:

• Please park your car correctly to avoid penalties or fines by the council rangers. 
• Please do not park in the driveway of Masjid’s neighbours.
• Please leave quietly after the prayer and don’t hang around ( in Masjid’s parking area or outside the gates of the parking area).
