As the Mayor of Blacktown, I would like to convey my very best wishes to all the Mosques in our City. We extend our best wishes to the Imams and to the executive members of the Mosques and to the entire Muslim community of Blacktown for the month of Fasting ahead.Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and one of the five pillars of Islam is observed by 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide as a holy month of prayer, reflection, and fasting. Ramadan follows the lunar calendar, meaning that the beginning of Ramadan changes every year. This year Ramadan will end on 11 May 2021, followed by the three day celebration, Eid. Ramadan Mubarak to all.
